Its best to set up a merchant account with your financial institution as some banks require a merchant history before accepting clients.

To be able to accept transactions with American Express, Diners Club, or JCB cards it is necessary to contact these credit companies directly.

Bank fees are additional to Netsell fees.  For further information on fees, please contact the banks directly.  Netsell takes no responsibility for these figures as banks are continually changing their pricing structure.  The information below should be used as a rough guide only.

Westpac Customers

  • Application fee $110
  • Monthly administration fee $22
  • MTF (Merchant Transaction Fee) variable between 1.5% and 3.5%

St. George and BankSA Customers

  • Application fee $165
  • Monthly administration fee $22

    Both the above fees are debited from your nominated trading account upon establishment as an OCA Merchant.
  • MSF (Merchant Service Fee) determined on an individual basis
    The MSF is comprised of a percentage of each transaction and is usually between 1.5% and 4.50.  Set according to transaction volume and your turnover.  You will be asked to provide a business plan, outlining these details to St. George when you apply.

ANZ Customers

  • Application fee $145
  • Yearly renewal fee $25
  • MTF (Merchant Transaction Fee) variable between 1.8% and 4.5%

National Australia Bank (NAB) Customers

  • Application fee $68
  • Monthly fee Unknown
  • MTF (Merchant Transaction Fee) variable between 1.8% and 4.5%

how to set up e-commerce facilities

Setting up your own e-commerce through Netsell - giving you the benefit of instant funds transfer - is as easy as following three simple steps.

  1. Set up merchant facilities with your bank. This will give you authorisation to be able to accept funds from credit card transactions.  This can take up to seven (7) working days, after which you will be issued with a Merchant ID number.
  2. Fill in the application form on this website for Netsellís Real Time Package.  In this form you will be asked to supply your Merchant ID number.
  3. Print the form and send via surface mail to Netsell. Please make all cheques payable to Starnex Holdings Pty Ltd (the parent company of Netsell Internet).
